Mission

The Jack Miller Center's mission is to reinvigorate education in America's founding principles and history, an education vital to thoughtful and engaged citizenship. It advances the teaching and study of America's history, its political and economic institutions and the central principles, ideas and issues arising from the American and Western traditions, all of which continue to animate our national life.

About

The Jack Miller Center (JMC) builds and supports a national community of educators who share our mission by conducting national conferences, rigorous summer programs, regional seminars, and by supporting centers of research and teaching on college campuses. Support for these centers include grants for postdoctoral fellowships, Constitution Day events, and other special speaker series. JMC founded and sponsors the first peer-reviewed academic journal focused solely on American political thought and conducts professional development programs for high school teachers taught by professors in our academic community.
