AUTISMOKLAHOMA OFFERS PARENT SUPPORT GROUPS IN 13 GEOGRAPHIES UNDER THE FOLLOWING NAMES: AUTISMBLANCHARD, AUTISMCANADIANVALLEY, AUTISMEDMOND, AUTISMGUTHRIE, AUTISMLATINO, AUTISMMUSKOGEE, AUTISMNORMAN, AUTISMOKC, AUTISMSHAWNEE,AUTISMSTILLWATER, AUTISMTULSA, AUTISMWEATHERFORD, AND AUTISMSCHOOLCHOICE. AUTISMLATINO SERVES THE HISPANIC COMMUNITY IN THE OKLAHOMA CITY METRO AREA. IN ADDITION, WE HAVE A WRITERS GROUP FOR PARENTS WHO DESIRE A WRITING EXPERIENCE WITH A PROFESSIONAL AUTHOR. THE TRAINING AND LEADER SUPPORT HELPS FAMILIES TO BECOME STAKEHOLDERS IN THE AUTISMOKLAHOMA FAMILY HELPING FAMILIES THRIVE HAS BEEN THE BACKBONE OF AUTISM OKLAHOMA SINCE ITS FORMATION IN 2002. WE HAVE ADDED GEOGRAPHIES AND INVESTED IN THE PARENT SUPPORT GROUP LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE. WE ALSO IMPLEMENTED PIECE OF MIND, A PROGRAM FOR DISTRIBUTING GPS AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT TO FAMILIES WHO HAVE CHILDREN WITH A HIGH RISK OF RUNNING AWAY AS WELL AS A FINANCIAL NEED.
