Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital, Inc. (AOH) operates several healthcare service lines including a 18-bed critical access hospital, three physician clinics, and a 46-bed skilled nursing unit. AOH strives to offer the best care possible to the residents of Ontonagon County and the surrounding area. AOH is committed to keeping healthcare decisions local, to provide a successful community hospital for generations to come. For the year ended June 30, 2018, AOH serviced the community through 402 inpatient days, 108 swing bed inpatient days, 13,626 skilled nursing facility days of care, and 13,680 outpatient visits. In addition, the family practice clinic had 5,868 visits, the up clinic had 1,517 visits and the oncology clinic had 260 visits. AOH completed its emergency department renovation project this year in order to further improve patient access and care. AOH provides a significant amount of services to patients under its charity care policy or to beneficiaries of the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
