During the 2018/19 fiscal year MCM expanded services in a number of ways, including: 1) with the completion of additional classrooms, MCM Academy now accommodates PreK - Standard 8. A total of 147 students were registered in the September, 2018 class. 2) Phase 1 of a technology initiative provided solar powered electricity for lighting in the medical center and power to computers and devices used by MCM Academy. (See Schedule O for continuation of program service accomplishments) The newly installed satellite dish now enables internet access and computer training. 3) The Global Classroom Partnerships, which connects US middle school aged children with students of MCM Academy, has increased to 6 U.S. schools. Currently 23 classrooms participate to connect over 500 children with MCM Academy students. 4) MCM's orphan support program, which offers sponsorship of orphans by donors in the US, has sponsored 66 children (a 65% annual increase). 5) In March, extensive rains caused flood damage to 45 MCM families' homes (impacting 65 children) and to MCM buildings. Rebuilding and repairs are currently underway.
