The RCED program is called, 'Recovery Coaches in the Emergency Department- and involves providing peer recovery coaches in the emergency department of our local hospital, Central Vermont Medical Center. The program started on January 15, 2018, as described in our form 990 filed for 2017. During this past year, between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019, our recovery coaches engaged with 395 patients at CVMC, including 80 patients who were participants in a federally-funded pilot program enabling persons who are assessed as having a current opiod use disorder to be inclucted immediately into a local clinic providing medication assisted treatment (MAT).
