NEW CHOICES IS PA WOMEN WORK'S SIGNATURE CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, SERVING LOW-INCOME WOMEN AND WOMEN IN CAREER TRANSITION. THE PROGRAM ASSISTS JOB SEEKERS TO IDENTIFY THEIR CAREER INTERESTS AND TRANSFERABLE SKILLS,DEVELOP WORK-READINESS SKILLS, AND BUILD THE CONFIDENCE TO PRESENT THEIR QUALIFICATIONS WITH EMPLOYERS. NEW CHOICES IS OFFERED FREE OF CHARGE IN PITTSBURGH, AND AT SITES THROUGHOUT PA. 3 CUPS OF COFFEE IS A FREE, SHORT-TERM MENTORSHIP PROGRAM BUILDING SOCIAL CAPITAL AND PROFESSIONAL NETWORKS FOR UN- AND UNDEREMPLOYED WOMEN. THE PROGRAM CONNECTS JOB SEEKING WOMEN WITH A VOLUNTEER MENTOR WORKING IN THEIR DESIRED CAREER FIELD. MENTORS PROVIDE CAREER GUIDANCE, OPEN DOORS TO THEIR OWN PROFESSIONAL NETWORKS, AND ADVOCATE FOR THEIR MENTEES WITH THEIR TALENT-SEEKING PEERS. CUSTOMER SERVICE FIRST-CLASS PREPARES INDIVIDUALS WITH A HIGH SCHOOL DEGREE OR EQUIVALENT TO WORK IN HIGH-DEMAND OCCUPATIONS IN PITTSBURGH.
