About this organization
Mission
Children's Festival Chorus (CFC) is a nonprofit organization established in 1983 to provide stimulating and challenging choral education of the highest artistic standards for children in the Pittsburgh metropolitan and surrounding region (selected on the basis of competitive audition) through professional music training and unique performance experiences.
About
The Children's Festival Chorus' mission is to provide superior choral education and performance opportunities to children, a professional-level children's choir to audiences and training to current and future music educators. The Children's Festival Chorus' three choirs are comprised of children (ages 8 to 16) who reside throughout the 10 county Pittsburgh region. Children in the program receive serious music training, perform on professional stages throughout the community, and provide a 'living laboratory' to music education majors at Duquesne University where they are an ensemble in residence.
