IS A NON-PROFIT COMPREHENSIVE VICTIM SERVICE AGENCY THAT HAS PROVIDED LIFE-SAVING SERVICES TO VICTIMS IN ELK AND CAMERON COUNTIES SINCE 1977. CAPSEA, INC. PROVIDES ALTERNATIVES TO VIOLENCE AND OFFER PROTECTION, SECURITY, COUNSELING AND SUPPORT TO VICTIMS OF PHYSICAL, SEXUAL AND EMOTIONAL ABUSE AND THEIR CHILDREN. THE ELK AND CAMERON COUNTY ADULT VICTIM/WITNESS PROGRAM AND THE VICTIMS OF JUVENILE OFFENDERS (VOJO) PROGRAMS OPERATE THROUGH CAPSEA, INC. AND COOPERATIVELY WITH THE ELK AND CAMERON COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICES. THE VICTIM/WITNESS PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE TO ASSIST SERIOUS CRIME VICTIMS AND WITNESSES WITH COMPENSATION CLAIMS, COURT/LEGAL ACCOMPANIMENT AND TRANSPORTATION AND TO NOTIFY VICTIMS AND WITNESSES ABOUT THE STATUS OF THEIR COURT CASES. IN ADDITION TO THESE SERVICES, WE PROVIDE MEDICAL & LEGAL ACCOMPANIMENT, PROTECTION FROM ABUSE ASSISTANCE, VICTIM ADVOCACY, EMERGENCY SHELTER, TRAUMA INFORMED COUNSELING, SUPPORT GROUPS, INCREDIBLE YEARS PARENTING/CHILD GROUPS, REFERRAL SERVICES, PERMANENT HOUSING AND HOMELESS ASSISTANCE SERVICES TO ELK COUNTY. CAPSEA, INC. MAINTAINS A 24-HOUR CONFIDENTIAL HOTLINE IN BOTH ELK AND CAMERON COUNTIES. PREVENTION EDUCATION, MANDATED REPORTER TRAINING AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED TO SCHOOLS, CHURCHES, COMMUNITY GROUPS AND PROFESSIONALS. ALL SERVICES ARE FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL.
