OPDC facilitates community planning and engagement to establish strategies for moving the neighborhood forward and to make sure that the communitys voice is heard regarding the future of the neighborhood. We develop for-sale housing to provide affordable homeownership opportunities and to maintain a stable base of homeowners in the neighborhood. We own and maintain 52 units (with 49 add. units currently being constructed) of quality apartments to ensure the availability of affordable rental housing for working people, those with low incomes, seniors, and people with disabilities. OPDCs JobLinks program serves job seekers and community members through job readiness, job placement, training/skill building, income support screening, and financial coaching/counseling. Our School to Career program helps youth establish career goals and provides the support for students to reach them, through academic support, mentored work experiences, and personal skill building.
