About this organization
Mission
LIFE ElderCare's mission is to empower the aging to live with independence AND interdependence by nourishing mind, body and spirit. We provide direct service programs that promote healthy lifestyle choices, support daily well-being and enable independent living for as long as safely possible on behalf of frail, home-bound seniors living in Alameda County. Our programs include Meals on Wheels, Assisted Door-though-door Transportation, Friendly Visitors, Fall Prevention, and Care Coordination.
About
Meals on Wheels-Provides over 102,000 home-delivered meals to frail, homebound seniors living in Fremont, Newark, and Union City, CA. The majority of these at-risk individuals live alone and often have no other daily contact other than their MOW Volunteer driver. Drivers bring a hot, nutritious meal and check on their well being enabling seniors to live independently in their own homes for as long as safely possible.
