One of the largest and most complete U.S. Life-Saving Service complexes remaining in the nation. Open April-November. Self-guided tour of historic buildings: 1874 boat house, 1911 station/look-out tower, historically accurate cook house complete with furnishings and supplies, c.1907 residence filled with vintage furnishings and household goods. Weekly Beach Apparatus Drill rescue re-enactment in summer months is performed by all-volunteer crew. Centennial celebration of Mirlo rescue was held in 2018; Revenue includes grants of $139,904 to pay for repairs and capital assets.
