GEF awarded 24 scholarships to engineering and engineering technology students from Georgia. Grants were provided to promote math, science and engineering to middle school and high school students. Additionally, GEF volunteers their time supporting outstanding STEM programs such as Future Cities Competition, Exploring Engineering and more. 20 endowment scholarships were awarded during the year ended September 30, 2019. We were proud to sponsor the Georgia Science & Engineering Fair by providing two GEF grants as prizes at the competition. We strive to expand this type of support to these important pre-collegiate programs to spark student interest toward math, science, and engineering pursuits in college.
