HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES: THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION STRIVES TO BE A TREMENDOUS PARTNER TO THE NONPROFITS WE SUPPORT IN OUR COMMUNITY BY CREATING A SEAMLESS GRANTING EXPERIENCE. WE INVEST IN OUR NONPROFIT PARTNERS THROUGH CONFIDENCE IN THEIR EXPERTISE AND EXCELLENCE OF SERVICE. IN 2019, INSTEAD OF ONLY FUNDING SPECIFIC PROGRAMS WITH DEFINED OUTCOMES, THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO NONPROFITS THROUGH BOTH PROGRAMS AND GENERAL SUPPORT. A $44,758 GRANT WAS AWARDED TO HOUSE OF HOPE. THE GRANT PROVIDED HOUSE OF HOPE WITH THE NEEDED FUNDS TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE ORGANIZATION'S WORK THROUGH THEIR GOLDEN GATE ENRICHMENT CENTER AND THE ELIZABETH LAHTI NUTRITION CENTER. A GRANT WAS ALSO AWARDED TO NORTHWEST COMMUNITY CONSORTIUM, INC. TO HELP CONTINUE BUILDING VITAL COMMUNITY ASSETS IN THE HISTORIC NORTHWEST NEIGHBORHOOD OF WEST PALM BEACH. THE LORD'S PLACE, WHO SERVES MORE THAN 1,500 HOMELESS, FORMERLY HOMELESS, AND EXTREMELY LOW-INCOME FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS, RECEIVED A $50,000 GRANT. THE FOUNDATION GRANT ALLOWS THEM TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE AN EXCELLENT QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THEIR HOMELESS CLIENTS.
