Training and promotion of electrical industry.

The training trust and its JATC provide electrical industry training of indentured apprentices, retraining of journeymen and other trainees within the jurisdiction of Northern Nevada pursuant to training standards approved by the Nevada State Apprenticeship Council under Chapter 610 of NRS and the national apprenticeship act aka the Fitzgerald act, 29 USC section 50 et. seq. In 2018, the JATC had approximately 162 indentured apprentices (151 inside wireman apprentices and 11 telecommunications apprentices). Each inside wireman apprentice was required to complete not less than 180 hours of classroom instruction during the year (approximately 27,180 inside wireman apprentice classroom hours.) Each telecommunications apprentice was required to complete not less than 160 hours of classroom instruction during the year (approximately 1,760 telecommunications apprentice classroom hours). Journeyman in training completed a total of 916 hours of classroom training. A total of 311 journeyman received additional training.
