THE CONTINUING EDUCATION AND DISSEMINATION OF RESEARCH AND INFORMATION IN THE FIELD OF MASS SPECTROMETRY and allied topics. Approximately 8,500 scientist MEMBERS are involved in research and development.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON MASS SPECTROMETRY FOR THE PRESENTATION OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT. INCLUDES APPROXIMATELY 7,200 scientists AND approximately 3,800 scientific presentations. Approximately twency SHORT COURSES PROVIDE CONTINUING EDUCATION IN SPECIFIC AREAS OF MASS SPECTROMETRY. Each course is attended by 20 - 80 participants.ASMS hosts an undergraduate program to promote interest in mass spectrometry among undergraduate students through conference workshops, "meet the experts" lunch, and poster competition.Travel support is provided for graduate and undergraduate students to attend the annual conferences. Refer to Schedule I, Page 2 for support amounts.Educational videos and posters on basic topics in mass spectrometry are produced by ASMS and posted to asms.org as a free resource available to the general public.
