Pike Pioneer Museum Association is organized under the provisions of the Alabama non-profit corporation act, being chapter 10 of title 10 of the code of Alabama, as amended, and is exempt from taxation under IRC section 501(c)(3). The purposes for which the corporation was formed are in general to promote, sponsor, and operate a public museum for the preservation, perpetuation, and exhibition of unique, historical and antique specimens of works of art, historical documents, machines, vehicles, tools, utensils, household and mercantile furniture and furnishings, articles of clothing, and all other material and objects having educational value for the benefit of the citizens and the visitors to Pike County, Alabama.
