Mission

Provide youths with a fun, safe and educational outdoor experience

About

Olivet Blue Mt. Camp offered day camp experiences to nearly 900 individual campers throughout an 8 week summer camp. Campers are primarily low income youth between the ages of 6 and 14, most of which are year-round members of Olivet Boys and Girls Club. These children, many of whom had never experienced this type of setting, were able to expand their horizons with fishing, hiking, swimming, archery, environmental education, and other outdoor activities. Blue Mountain Camp provides a weekly retreat from the tension and challenges of living in one of the poorest cities in America. In 2019, Olivet was able to provide transportation from all of its club sites, including the Rickets Center Club in Pottstown to Hamburg to allow all members to participate in the camp programming.
