Mission

The Foundation supports the mission of Grand View Hospital.

About

The Medical Access Program provides assistance to uninsured and underinsured individuals in our community who are experiencing an acute illness. The program is staffed by Social Workers who assist the patient in finding care for their acute problem and direct them to sources of ongoing medical care. Assistance is provided to access clinics, physicians and medication through established pharmaceutical company programs. Patients are provided with the resources necessary to apply for Medical Assistance and other appropriate medical insurance programs. Grand View Hospital may pay for medications and testing related to acute care illness based on eligibility. The program assists 15 to 20 new patients per month, with a total of 40 to 50 patients receiving care each month.
