To collect and secure for preservation, records, documents, lineages, and historically significant data relative to the genesis and development of the principles of equity and law based on, and stemming from, that historic moment coincident with the ratification of the Magna Charta in June 1215 by John, King of England, at Runnymede Meadow, near Staines-upon-Thames. b. To see to it that such data is placed for safekeeping and research in such locations as may be deemed appropriate from time to time; to the end that the general public may have access and thereby gain knowledge of the importance of Magna Charta principles.
