Mission

The YCS Foundation's mission is to fill in the gaps left by government funding, so that YCS can continue to be innovative in the ways we serve children. The foundation can fund a programming idea before government sources realize the need, grow YCS programming outside of traditional problem-focused programs and provide the children in YCS' care with everything they need to thrive.

About

The goal of the YCS Foundation is to raise funds to help support the many programs of YCS Inc. Residential programs are provided for children who for various reasons cannot live with their families and adult programs for clients with DDD that require full time care. Community programs include programs that serve children with emotional and behavioral issues, nurseries that help toddlers with socialization skills, and programs that help equip first time mothers with parenting skills. Finally, YCS schools serve children with emotional, behavior and family issues as as well as those with autism. In both cases the student receives special individualized attention that they would not get in a more traditional educational environment. The foundation tells this story through a series of fundraising events that include sporting and food tasting as well as direct outreach to individuals, foundations, and corporations.
