About this organization
Mission
Founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace in 1989, York Street Project's (YSP) mission is to weave together innovative programs that shelter, feed, educate and promote the healing and independence of persons in need, especially women and their children. York Street Project has an established record of providing quality services to nearly 500 homeless and low-income women and children each year. Using a comprehensive approach, we help our women heal from a life severely impacted by poverty, while also strengthening their life skills and independence as they transition to permanent housing.
