Citizens for Adequate Housing, Inc., ends homelessness one family at a time, by providing a dignified, nurturing and supportive environment that empowers each family to reach its social and economic potential. Our mission calls us to support our families with respect and dignity, and to do so in ways which foster independence and self-sufficiency, ultimately breaking the cycle of homelessness. Toward this end we: * Provide both emergency shelter and sober living family housing to homeless families * Assist homeless families in regaining their physical and emotional health; * Teach life skills with a focus on economic stability; * Facilitate transition from shelter to affordable rental housing; * Contribute through education and advocacy, to the creation of communities characterized by mutual respect for all its peoples * Serve as a vehicle for individuals and the business community to become partners in the solution of ending homelessness.
