Specifically, North Brunswick UAW will continue to operate the housing community pursuant to a State statute allowing for the incorporation of non-profit entities to develop and operate affordable housing.
About
North Brunswick UAW provides affordable and subsidized housing to individuals based on their need and their meeting certain specified standards required by either the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) or the NJ Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (HMFA). North Brunswick UAW limits the rental of the apartments to those individuals who qualify for the affordable housing programs that the community is part of through deed restrictions and financial agreements with HUD or HMFA and therefore shall require income qualifications for those programs as required by Federal and State law. Generally since affordable housing is limited to low-income families snd individuals, eligibility is based upon the following criteria: (1) annual gross income; (2) whether a person qualifies as elderly, a person with a disability, or as a family; and (3) U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status.
