Clinical Services - The public vet clinic and vet team do extraordinary work, helping pets and their owners. In 2018-2019 the team performed 18,380 medical procedures. The procedures included 7,600 spay/neuter surgeries; 7,500 pets helped through vaccine clinics; and 2,990 wellness exams. In addition, the clinic offers low cost specialty surgeries to help keep pets with their families ands/n surgeries for specific populations like feral cats, pit bulls and mommy cats.The Vets on Wheals program provides a mobile veterinary clinic, staffed by an AWA staff veterinarian and technician, brings direct services to clients and pets in the under served community of Camden, NJ. No matter their economic status, people love their pets, and they want to make healthy decisions for them if the resources are provided. Through this program, AWA provided free and low cost services including 357 s/n surgeries and vaccinations for 540 pets.
