Adoption and Sheltering Program Brother Wolf Animal Rescue's adoption and sheltering program saves thousands of lives per year. In 2018, 2,729 animals were adopted out into homes. This is made possible in part by our dedicated foster homes. At any given time in 2018, Brother Wolf had over 200 animals in foster care being cared for by a network of hundreds of volunteer foster homes. Our Pet Retention program works to keep animals in loving homes and out of the shelter system; affecting an estimated 1,000 animals in 2018. Our adoption center houses about 100 ready-to-adopt animals on any given day. Very often, we rescue special needs animals including cats with Feline Immuno-virus (FIV) or Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), dogs with heartworm disease, under socialized animals, senior animals, and animals
