The corporation organizes and conducts a leadership academy for public school, regional educational service agency, and public community college teachers. The academy is a two year seminar series designed to develop teachers as leaders. The seminars will help the teacher participants become both effective teachers and more effective leaders in the improvement of their school districts. Each public school district or community college in Wayne, Oakland, or Macomb County, Michigan is eligible to become a participant in the corporation's activities. Currently, 29 school districts, 3 community colleges, and 2 educational service agencies from Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties are participants.
