Mission

Casa Valentina's mission is to provide at-risk and former foster care youth with safe affordable housing, life skills, and continued support so that they can achieve and maintain self-sufficiency.

About

Casa Valentina provides housing and support services to at-risk youth and youth transitioning from foster care to independent living. Since opening our doors in 2006, we have served over 140 clients and we have the capacity to house seven young men, 13 young women and four mother/child dyads. Our five domains of service are housing, life skills, employment training, academic support and case management. Our focus is to help our residents obtain the academic/employment training they need to achieve their goals and develop the life skills they need to become self-sufficient. Many other organizations focus solely on placing the youth in stable homes without providing services, or provide services but no housing. We are a unique facility in Miani-Dade County as we offer affordable housing, case management, educational/vocational support, access to health care and weekly group life skills workshops.
