Important note: all of these accomplishments and goals are done in collaboration with our Myanmar-based partner organization, Muditar. Muditar and Shanta leaders in turn partner with villagers to fund and accomplish projects that villagers identify as priority needs to improve and sustain quality of life. Education & village leadership 2018 accomplishments: - Established middle and high school scholarship funds in two villages - Supported 42 students to attend boarding school - Held English summer classes in four villages - Established school libraries in five villages reaching 486 students - Provided school supplies to a primary school - Provided leadership development and project trainings in 18 villages 2019 goals: - Establish middle and high school scholarship funds in at least two villages - Support 42 students to attend special boarding school - Hold English language summer school in six villages - Establish school libraries in five villages - Hold nutrition activities in three village preschools - Assist teachers from four preschools to attend refresher education training - Build two preschools - Construct teacher's housing in four villages
