Mission

Our vision: To cultivate the love of learning Our mission: To cooperate with participating families in providing a Christ-centered education that challenges the whole child to discover God's truth, to love learning, and to relate knowledge with action. Our goal is to inspire children to embrace and to flourish in their God-given calling as His image-bearers and to go forth as agents for truth and reconciliation in their community. We have an intentional mission to draw in children and families of all ethnic heritages and income levels.

About

-Since 2010, we have served 400 students and expanded from offering PreK3 through 2nd grade to now serving students through 8th grade. -We now offer extracurriculars including Choir, Chess Club, Shakespeare, Intramural Soccer, Extended Day offerings, and special classes like Art, Music, and French. Guiding all these offerings is South City Community School's own tailored curriculum that emphasizes age appropriate great books, artworks, famous composers, ornithology, daily recess, and weekly school chapels. -From our original faculty of six to our multidisciplinary team composed of over 30 people with experience in counseling, education, ministry, business, missions, and communications while maintaining a 13:1 faculty to student ratio or better at all grade levels.-In the last three years alone, over 60% of our students have received some type of aid or discount to support their education. This support of student learning costs over $700,000 which was financed by over $330,000 in donations and the remainder by sacrificial teacher compensation and by making every educational and operational resource go as far as possible. In fact, in our community to "SCCS" something means to get every ounce of value out of a resource, to reuse a useful item, give an old item new life, or update an outdated object with a frugal yet beautiful overhaul.
