About

EastView at Middlebury is a nonprofit senior living community located near Middlebury College in the heart of Middlebury, Vermont. EastView offers 99 home choices, including independent living (cottages and apartments), residential care, and memory care. The first cottage residents moved to EastView in the fall of 2011, and the entire community opened in June 2012. EastView residents make great neighbors - friendly, vibrant, welcoming, and supportive. The 30 cottages at EastView are energy efficient, single-level homes; many have incredible views of the Green Mountains. The two-story Inn houses 32 independent living apartments, as well as residential care, memory care, and lovely community spaces throughout for dining, activities and programs. EastView's residential care programs include GardenSong's specialized memory care neighborhood and MeadowSweet's residential care neighborhood, where residents receive a range of services based on their individual interests, capabilities, and needs. It is EastView's commitment to provide quality care at fair prices. The independent living homes at EastView are secured by completing an entry fee, which varies depending on the size and location of the cottage or apartment; most of this Entry Fee is refunded when the home is reoccupied. EastView's continuum of care offers flexibility and security for its residents. Should a resident need greater support, even if only for a short-time, EastView has a variety of offerings to meet changing needs. EastView also offers an intriguing weekly calendar of events and programs coordinated by the talented Community Life team. EastView's location is superb, with University of Vermont/Porter Medical Center, Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center (with skilled nursing), many physician offices, and Middlebury's emergency medical team conveniently located right next door. Middlebury College is just around the corner and the center of town is within a mile of EastView.
