The MATCH: Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston's mission is to create a place where artists, small-to-mid-sized arts organizations, and art lovers can come together to create and enjoy visual, performing, literary, and mixed media arts ... and bring a neighborhood alive in the process. The MATCH will be one of the landmarks that distinguish Houston’s cultural life in the 21st century. The MATCH is creating a groundbreaking, multi-venue, multi-purpose facility in Houston’s Midtown neighborhood for small and midsize arts organizations that produce excellent work and make Houston one of the most creative cities in America.  The MATCH will also work to promote cultural diversity and create opportunities for local communities to come together to share cultures through artistic expression and creative abilities.

The MATCH is a multi-venue, multi-purpose facility in Houston's Midtown neighborhood for small and mid-sized arts organizations. The MATCH complex provides a unique and extremely valuable forum for artists and organizations to interact, collaborate, and share effective practices. This complex brings an array of small and mid-sized arts organizations together under one roof and provides a place for audiences to enjoy a wide selection of arts events. Furthermore, it serves as a catalyst for the revitalization of the surrounding community. During the 2019 fiscal year, MATCH rented performance spaces to approximately 220 arts organizations and office space to 20 arts organizations. MATCH also provides box office (ticketing) services to certain of the organizations performing at MATCH.
