Mission
We believe everyone deserves the chance to experience how incredibly fun the outdoors can be, so we provide the gear, guidance and inspiration to make outdoor recreation part of people’s lives. We’re a member-supported nonprofit working to make it easy for you to get outside. We offer public, custom, and youth trips year-round that introduce people to the benefits of outdoor recreation. If you look outside in Pittsburgh, you’re sure to find us biking along trails, hiking through local parks, or kayaking along Southwestern PA waterways. Seen the yellow kayaks on one of the rivers or on North Park Lake? Yep, that’s us too! Kayak Pittsburgh is a kayak rental concession open May through October in downtown Pittsburgh, on North Park Lake, and at Aspinwall Riverfront Park.

Kayak Pittsburgh operated three rental concessions on Pittsburgh area waterways, at locations on downtown's north shore, North Park, and Aspinwall Riverfront Park. Over 39,000 people rented kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards to enjoy our local waterways.
