About
Thursdays at The Gate - Thursdays at The Gate is a recreational and social component of The Gate/Central High School After-school Program collaboration. From 3:15 to 6:00, 50 to 60 students gather in a church multipurpose room across from the high school that is transformed into a recreation and learning area. Snacks are available throughout the afternoon and a free dinner is served at 5:15. Volunteer staff from the local college and the greater community, interact with and mentor the students as they socialize, seek advice and play indoor and outdoor games.
