Education: The Math & Science Center's "education" programs are the means by which we provide our direct STEM education to elementary and middle school students and their teachers. These programs include inquiry-based, hands-on extracurricular experiences (after-school, no-school day and vacation camps and programs in local elementary schools or at the Center), for K-8th grade students; elementary science resource kits for classroom use; and a STEM school program with New Emerson Elementary school that provides weekly science lessons and teacher support for this public school. During the fall of 2014, we also started offering "visiting scientist" programs for another local elementary school, curriculum-based science courses for a homeschool consortium, and inquiry-based science options for an alternative high school, affiliated with the local school district. All of our programs are based on the Colorado State Science standards and are aligned with school district curriculum guides.
