About this organization
Mission
To serve Central Florida through housing development and further professionalism of the realtor.
About
Heroes' Common at Jefferson Park - In early 2013, the Florida Real Estate Foundation and the City of Orlando met to discuss the possibility of doing an affordable housing project within the city limits. The result of this discussion was the creation of 'Heroes' Commons at Jefferson Park' in the downtown Orlando Parramore community. The primary goal of the project is to provide mortgage-free, safe, and attractive homes for veterans of the US armed services, disabled veterans, or local law enforcement officers & first responders. As of December 31, 2018, houses on three of the six lots were successfully completed, and were donated to individuals (the homeowner) that met the selection criteria of the program. During 2018 and 2017, the foundation received $44,562 and $62,783, respectively, of contributed management services from ORRA's key executives related to the Heroes' Commons at Jefferson Park project, which was recorded as in-kind contributions in the financial statements.
