FUDR HAS DEVELOPED AN EXTENSIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM DESIGNED TO HELP SPECIFIC TARGET AUDIENCES IN THE FOUR STATES CONTIGUOUS TO THE DELAWARE RIVER, TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE THREATS CONFRONTING THE EIVER'S WORLD CLASS COLD WATER TROUT FISHERY, AS WELL AS OTHER VULNERABLE SPECIES. FUDR HAS DOCUMENTED THE DANGERS POSED BY A POORLY DEISNGED WATER RELEASE REGIME FROM THE CANNONSVILLE, PREPACTON AND NEVERSINK RESERVOIRS AND HAS WORKED TO DEVELOP ALTERNATIVE WATER MANAGEMENT PLANS TO SATISFY THE NEEDS OF ALL THE RIVERS' USERS. IN THIS CONNECTION, FUDR HAS WORKED TO BRING TOGETHER ALL INTERESTED CONSERVATION GROUPS TO PRESENT A UNITED FRONT TO THE GOVERNMENT BODIES THAT DEVELOP THE FULES AND REGULATIONS THAT CONTROL THE RESERVOIR RELE4ASES AND OTHER ASPECTS OF RIVER MANAGEMENT. IN THIS CONNECITON, FUDR HAS EMPLOYED SCIENTIFIC AND STATISTICAL TECHNIQUES TO DEVELOP ITS IDEAS AND EDUCATE INTERESTED PARTIES. FUDR HAS LAUNCHED A PROGRAM IN CONJUNCITON WITH AN OUTSIDE ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATION TO REMEDIATE FLOOD DAMAGE AND MORE FUNDAMENTALLY TO REPAIR THE AREA'S FLOOD PLAINS THAT HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY COMPROMISED BY INDUSTRIAL ACTIVITY THAT HAS TAKEN PLACE OVER MANY YEARS.
