About
During 2019 Wilderness East expanded its preserve holdings by 60 acres thus bringing the total natural areas held at the end of 2019 to 186 acres. New land acquisitions in 2019 included a double wide mobile home on 5.5 acres and a stone mill house on another 2.5 acres. Both parcels are located along the Rocky Fork River and were funded through a secured note with The Highlands Nature Sanctuary, Inc. An additional 52 acres along Cliff Run in Ross County was also purchased through a secured note with The Highlands Nature Sanctuary, Inc. All three properties are adjacent to or near existing nature preserves with the intention of future annexation to these existing preserves.
