About

Public programs: Each year the PSA presents a diverse array of public poetry events in cities including Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Washington, DC, and others. Programs range in size from intimate readings and discussions with one or two poets to large scale events attended by hundreds. PSA programs are largely free and open to the public. PSA frequently partners with local museums, universities, local art organizations, and other nonprofits, to create unique programming opportunities that engage local communities and the artists and poets who call them home. Our events range from readings and conversations at universities to 'poetry walks' curated to compliment every major exhibition at the New York Botanical Garden and seen by hundreds of thousands. Past years have had cornerstone national series events with readings and discussions planned around one theme or issue.
