The Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) is the largest non-profit Armenian in the world. Established in 1906 to preserve and promote the Armenian identity and heritage, AGBU reaches 500,000 people annually through educational, cultural and humanitarian programs. Headquartered in New York City with a budget of $47 million, AGBU supports and operates 24 primary, secondary and Saturday schools, and 144 chapters, Young Professionals groups, centers and offices in 30 countries throughout the world.
