Futures and Options empowers New York City's youth, particularly youth of color and students from historically underrepresented communities, to acquire transferable professional skills, pursue higher education, and successfully compete in a global 21st century economy. We collaborate with New York City employers to provide transformative career development opportunities to young people, enabling them to succeed in college and inspiring them to pursue meaningful careers.

About

Futures and Options provides career development programs to New York City's underserved youth. Career essentials, an after-school work-readiness and career exploration program, reached 248 middle and high school students in FY2019. The internship program provides paid, mentored internships and career development workshops for high school students; it reached 625 students who worked at 251 businesses in New York. High school success and college success allows career essentials and internship program graduates to stay connected to Futures and Options through ongoing networking and career exploration events throughout the year. 91 high school and 89 college-aged alumni participated in these events. On the road takes Futures and Options original career development workshops to youth across the city. Through partnerships with nonprofits and high schools, 860 young people benefited from on the road workshops in FY19.
