The Legal Project provides access to the protections of the law to advance the safety, stability and independence of the people we serve and strengthen our communities. We do this by advising, advocating for and representing people who have traditionally had difficulty obtaining civil legal assistance. The Legal Project believes: 1) All people should have access to legal services. We feel a special commitment to people who have traditionally had difficulty in obtaining legal assistance, including the working poor, women, immigrants and the LGBTQ community. 2) Fostering collaborative relationships within the community is essential to serving the whole person, inspiring the legal profession's commitment to pro bono, and raising awareness about the importance of civil legal services
