About this organization
Mission
Provide financial assistance, not covered by insurance, to families of children with cancer.
About
The foundation has provided travel, accommodations and living expenses for families receiving medical care when away from home while simultaneously paying rents, mortgages, car payments, and childcare expenses. The foundation continues to fund and support the Andrew Baeumler Technology Program at the Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital to enhance the quality of life for pediatric oncology patients during hospitalization. This program allows seriously ill children in the hospital environment to cope and adjust through communication, interaction, entertainment and education. The foundation is committed to provide funds to the pediatric hematology/oncology department at the NYU Medical Center in order to keep a full-time fellow on staff. These funds are vital to continue to train new doctors to become experts in the care of children with cancer and to seek new methods of combating cancer.
