About

Camp Morty is a six-week summer program provided to underprivileged children at a Westchester County Park, Sal J. Prezioso- Mountain Lakes, North Salem, New York. Children in foster care, child protective, homeless and Medicare eligible are provided this opportunity of a week of living on the camp site and being a part of a camp experience. Accommodations and meals are provided at no cost to the camper. Program activities include swimming, boating, fishing, rope challenges, drama activities, music, sport as well as team building exercises. This year, we received a record 604 complete applications and were able to bring 403 individual campers to camp with 467 camper spaces filled. Staff members from outside of the US, as well as domestic staff from 10 different states, supply campers an opportunity to learn about different cultures without having to leave Westchester. Our dedicated partners in this mission include: Department of Parks, Recreation, and Conservation, the Department of Social Services, and the Department of Community Mental Health. Camp Morty is integral to the mission of WPF. Thanks to Camp Morty, thousands of Westchester's children are given an opportunity of having an outdoor camp experience.
