Catholic Migration Services seeks to empower immigrant communities to assert their basic rights and to access effective and culturally appropriate legal representation. Our mission is to serve low-income immigrants in Brooklyn and Queens, regardless of religion, national origin, or immigration status.

Immigration services: immigration legal services program, provides a range of services, including confidential screenings for undocumented immigrations, reuniting families through family based petitions, petitioning for asylum and defending immigrants facing deportation. It also hosts outreach events and provides know your- rights education. CMS provided free legal services and representation on immigration matters to more than 2,200 New Yorkers in 2018. CMS helped more than 600 lawful permanent residents apply to become U.S. citizens, 202 childhood arrivals obtain or renew DACA status, 65 United States citizens and permanent residents obtain immigration status for their family members and reunite in the United States, and 31 immigrants obtain asylum or adjust their status based on asylee or refugee status. Our lawyers gave community presentations to more than 3600 Brooklyn and Queens residents. These presentations informed immigrations about changes in federal immigration policy, and ways to avoid frauds and scams that target vulnerable immigrants.
