BLUE WAY TRAILS INITIATIVE 3 miles of soft walking trails in City of Atlanta - Connecting our Community - * Commenced Capital Campaign to ensure funding of this effort through public support * Hired Trail Builder and Project Manager * Completed design and started required engineering studies, permitting * Began renovation and rehabilitation of existing trails HABITAT RESTORATION -* Continued efforts at meadow renovations at Land o Lakes and Emma Lane parcels * Working with partner Amphibian Foundation, planned for creating environment appropriate to supporting Amphibian Foundation's efforts to save endangered frogs and salamanders. * Commenced overhaul of small building for use as Field Research Center providing a usable space for our partners and us to collaborate on environmental research * As part of serving our partners and Greater Atlanta and regional conservation efforts, we started small but necessary renovations to our building to help ensure welcoming and functional space for visitors, students,campers and others. EDUCATION - * Continued to expand youth education and camp offerings * Grew our after school programs working with public and private schools * Expanded Home school curriculum and outreach * Expanded our Field Education Center network throughout the Preserve taking outdoor research and * teaching closest to the habitat and living labs of nature. * Provided more on-site and off-site Scouting and Family engagement opportunities PUBLIC ARTS - * Continued our Artist in Residence program, building on the prior two years' efforts of making art more accessible to the public * Curated our 3rd Art in Nature exhibit, open to th public, and with art contributed by local, regional and nationally acclaimed artists
