About
During 2019-2020, there were 49 regular studio classes conducted serving a total of 312 students. These included workshops and classes in jewelry, clay, felting fiber, drawing, and glass mediums. Spring workshops from April to June 2019 included jewelry open studio, learn to throw, soap making, needle felting things with wings, block printing on fabric, and needle felting flora and fauna. Summer workshops in July 2019 included intro to needle felting and one day jewelry making. Fall classes from September to November 2019 included jewelry I and II, wheel throwing basics, wheel and handbuilding, and stained glass workshop. Winter classes from January to March 2020 included wheel throwing extension class, wheel throwing basics, wheel and handbuilding, pottery for kids, and jewelry I and II. Special demonstrations were given by staff artist Tiffany Farmakis and artist Deb Fairchild. Monthly, member artists and invited artists demonstrate their craft at the retail shop along with a month-long exhibition of the featured work. This is an educational event, where members of the local community are able to see first hand the process that the artist uses in creating their work and are able to view a significant collection of each artist's skilled work. Changing featured monthly exhibits were also held.
