The club started as a simple social gathering of friends playing dominoes, a popular pastime in Latin America. Over time, it evolved into a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening family values, fostering a sense of brotherhood and teamwork, and promoting the game of dominoes. The BDC has initiated several programs to directly impact the community, including the 12X12 Initiatives for disaster relief, the Bergenfield Welcome Sign Initiative, BDC Toy Drive, Walk-In-Dinner, Youth Mentoring Program, the John Cofrancesco-BDC Scholarship Program, and the Person of The Year Award.
