Adding a charity to Daffy, a leading Donor Advised Fund (DAF) platform, is a straightforward process. The primary requirement is that your organization must be a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
To check if your charity is already on Daffy, you can use your charity's tax ID and visit the URL daffy.org/charities/yourTaxID, replacing 'yourTaxID' with your charity’s tax ID. Remember not to use the dash (-) in your Tax ID when using this URL.
Even tax-exempt organizations that are not required to file with the IRS, such as churches or places of worship and government entities like public schools, may be eligible to receive a grant on a case-by-case basis.
If your organization meets the IRS’s tax-exempt criteria but is not listed on our platform, you can contact Daffy at support@daffy.org to inquire about adding your charity. Please include your charity name, website, tax ID, mailing address, contact person’s email address and/or phone number, mission statement (optional), and description (optional) in your message.
Daffy will then do its best to contact your organization, verify its tax-exempt status, and add it to our database.
Daffy is a fantastic option for a DAF. It encourages regular giving, fostering real discussions about the causes and organizations you support. Launched just over a year ago, Daffy has already attracted thousands of members and aims to create a world where everyone regularly sets something aside for those less fortunate.
Join the Daffy community today and make giving a habit.
