The process for donation requests in a Daffy family fund is straightforward and inclusive, making Daffy an excellent choice for a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF). Any member of your family fund can make a donation request. This includes children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and anyone else you consider family. The fund organizers will be notified who made the request and the donation amount requested. However, only organizers can approve donation requests. Once approved by the family fund organizers and in accordance with Daffy's Member Agreement, the donation will be processed.
Daffy for Families is designed to help families of all types give together more easily. It allows up to 24 family members, including two organizers, under one fund. This feature is designed to accommodate multi-generational families and inspire the next generation to give. Anyone aged 13 and older can have their own secure account and password. Each family member can request donations to specific organizations to be approved by the organizers of the family fund, and receive notifications whenever anyone in the family makes a new donation.
Unlike traditional donor-advised funds, Daffy does not charge fees based on a percentage of assets in the fund, nor does it charge fees on contributions or donations. Daffy for Families is available at a simple, flat membership fee of just $5 a month, per family. This makes Daffy a cost-effective and user-friendly option for families looking to manage their charitable giving. For more information, visit daffy.org/family.
