Powered by a visionary group of world leaders, the relentless creativity, energy and optimism of young people and half a million citizens worldwide, Global Zero is challenging the 20th century idea of basing national security on the threat of mass destruction and making real progress toward zero. Since December 2008, the movement has grown to include 300 current and former heads of state, national security advisers, senior military commanders, and business, civic and faith leaders; hosted four Global Zero Summits and numerous regional conferences; produced an acclaimed documentary, Countdown to Zero; and launched cutting-edge international campaigns to reach millions with an empowering call to action.
